Jorge R. Colón León, C.Ss.R., is Professor of Religious Studies at the Foundation. He is a native of Puerto Rico and has been Professor of Systematic Theology and Principal Lecturer of the Instituto Superior de Estudios Teológicos in Lima, Peru. He has taught Systematic Theology for 25 years in various graduate programs in New York, Puerto Rico, México and Perú. An ordained Redemptorist priest, Father Colón holds the Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from St. Alphonsus College in Connecticut and the Master of Religious Education, Master of Divinity, Licentiate in Sacred Theology, and the Doctor of Sacred Theology from the Gregorian University in Rome; he also holds the Ph.D. in Theology from the Graduate Theological Foundation. Father Colón taught on the faculty of the Instituto Teologico Internacional de Puerto Rico. A highly published scholar, his work includes Acercamiento a la Vida Religiosa; Aportes para una Teología de la Sexualidad Humana; and La Virgen María en la Biblia, a study of the mariological texts in the Bible. Father Colón's courses for the Foundation and for the College are taught in both English and Spanish and are available as E-Tutorials.
