Paul Kirbas is Paul Tillich Professor of Theology and Culture. He is minister of the Presbyterian Church USA, and holds the Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry Degrees from Columbia Seminary, and a Ph.D. in Theological Studies from the Graduate Theological Foundation. His Ph.D. studies have focused on the intersection of theology and biotechnology, in collaboration with John Kerr, past Warden of the Society of Ordained Scientists in the United Kingdom. Dr. Kirbas has held pastorates at two large congregations in Florida, and currently serves as the Senior Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton, IL. His current academic appointments include an adjunct professorship in Theology, Culture and Biblical Studies at Wheaton College. He has led many conferences around the country and has produced DVD curriculum courses that have been used in a variety of religious and educational settings. He lives with his wife Jennifer and two children in metropolitan Chicago.
