Michelle Foote Pearce is Professor of Psychology and Health Care. She is also an Associate faculty member in the Vanderbilt University Department of Psychiatry and Integrative Health Psychotherapist at the Vanderbilt Center for Integrative Health in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Pearce holds a master's degree in nursing from Yale University, a master's degree in counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University, and a Doctor of Ministry in Health Care Ministries from the Graduate Theological Foundation. Dr. Pearce is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Mental Health Services Provider and a Registered Nurse. She holds an Associate Certification in Logotherapy from the Victor Frankl Institute for Logotherapy and is a level II trained EMDR therapist. Dr. Pearce has over ten years experience as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Oncology, was a member of the graduate nursing faculty at University of Rochester in Rochester New York, and has worked in program development and hospital administration in the area of Case Management and Quality Assurance. She has served as volunteer Parish Nurse at First Presbyterian Church in Nashville Tennessee, has two years experience in private counseling practice, has seven years experience teaching healing qigong, and served as adjunct faculty in the psychology department at Lipscomb University in Nashville. Dr. Pearce has published articles in various nursing journals and in the Journal for Logotherapy.
