He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Thomas University and a Master of Divinity degree from St. Mary’s Seminary in Houston, Texas. On June 25, 1991, he was ordained a transitional deacon, and seven months later on January 25, 1992, he was ordained to the priesthood at Corpus Christi Cathedral, Corpus Christi, Texas. He was initially assigned as Parochial Vicar at Corpus Christi Cathedral, and eventually he was transferred to St. Philip the Apostle Church where he presently serves as pastor. He holds the Doctor of Ministry from the Graduate Theological Foundation and is currently a candidate for the Doctor of Philosophy in Theological Studies. Upon the recent publication of his book, Canon Law and the Marriage Tribunal: A Study Guide to Five New Texts (with Discussion Questions for Parish Use), he was appointed Visiting Professor of Canon Law and Pastoral Care at the Foundation.
