Syed Zia Tauhid is Professor of Labor-Management Relations and International Law. His degrees include a M.A. in Labor & Social Welfare from Xavier Labor Relation Institute in India; an M.In.Ed, Clemson University, South Carolina; a LL.B from Karachi University, Pakistan; the LL.M in Labor Law from New York University; and the Doctor of Mediation (D.Med) from the Graduate Theological Foundation, his thesis for which focused on Shari'a and labor laws in Saudi Arabia from an International Labor Organization and United Nations perspective. He serves as Ombudsman to the President of the Foundation and Cloverdale College. He has worked as a legal and human resources executive in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and the United States for about 37 years, during which he has had experience with the American Arbitration Association, the New York Mayor's Committee on the Exploitation of Workers, and the District Courts in Boston, Massachusetts, among other bodies. Dr. Tauhid has served as Legal Advisor to HRH Prince Abdullah bin Turki Al Saud, Minister of Labor & Social Affairs, Saudi Arabia, and to Minister of Labor, Transport, Commerce and Industry in Sind, Pakistan. He has been named Senior Counsel to the President of the Foundation for the MECCA Project
