Jonathan Allan Woodhall is Professor of Catholic Theology and Religious Education. A native of Connecticut, he lived and studied in Mexico where he obtained a B.A. in Philosophy and English from Mexico City College. He also earned a Master's degree in Literature and Theology from Wesleyan University. His M.A. and Ph.D. in theology were granted by Fordham University and he additionally holds a D.Min. from the Foundation. Rev. Woodhall was Headmaster of the Oxford Academy and later established The Woodhall School, both located in Connecticut. After thirty-six years in independent school teaching and administration, he studied at St. Mary's Seminary and University in Baltimore, Maryland, and was ordained a Catholic priest for the Diocese of Raleigh. Stationed in that diocese at Sacred Heart Cathedral, he was Vice Rector and vicar for the Hispanic community which he still serves after his recent retirement from full time ministry. He is extensively published and has also produced cultural videos in Spanish for congregants and in English for Hispanic ministries.
