Institutional Memberships

Today, there are some eighty-five national, regional, and professional accrediting bodies and ninety-eight statewide agencies of higher education monitoring various aspects of professional education. Additionally, there are over two hundred higher education associations and societies recognized and listed annually in the Higher Education Directory under "Consortia of Institutions of Higher Education". The Foundation has determined from its inception not to place its educational and research programs under the supervision of any denominational agency, though it does actively maintain a high regard for those relevant higher education associations and agencies which the Foundation’s Board of Directors believes to be in the best interest of students and within the framework of the Foundation's educational philosophy and mission. Therefore, the Foundation has continued to maintain appropriate levels of affiliation (member, associate, individual, etc.) with a variety of professional and scholarly associations and societies for purposes of ensuring and enhancing accessibility to ongoing developments within the professional communities of ministry, counseling, religious education, and theology. Such affiliations may prove of significance to students and, therefore, alumni and current degree candidates within the Foundation are encouraged to seek membership in select professional societies and associations which might be of continuing professional benefit as they pursue their various goals in ministry.
