Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy
Description
On March 19, 2001, the Foundation accepted the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy as an educational partner. The P.R.I.M.E. relationship is such that GTF students may fulfill all of their academic requirements through the P.R.I.M.E. location and receive full credit for the Doctor of Ministry, Doctor of Psychology or Doctor of Philosophy degree. The Viktor Frankl Institute offers intensive workshop-style educational experiences in different areas. The Institute also makes the three courses in logotherapy available in a Distance Learning format. There are introductory, intermediate and advanced levels of courses offered by highly qualified faculty. Within the Institute a student can achieve the status of Associate in Logotherapy or Diplomate in Logotherapy. After completing the coursework for the Associate credential, advanced supervised study for the Diplomate Clinician or the Diplomate Educator/Administrator credential is offered on an individual basis.
Students are responsible for all fees required by the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy.
Franklian Psychology (Logotherapy/Existential Analysis)
The three degree programs (D.Min., Psy.D., Ph.D.) offering specialization in the theory and methodology of logotherapy, called here Franklian Psychology, which is based on the writings of Viktor Frankl, are for counseling practitioners seeking to develop a deeper understanding of Frankl's work and its application to the field of counseling. For clergy, religious, and laity, Franklian Psychology is established upon the fundamental principle of the primacy of “meaning” as the source of human health and wholeness. These degrees may be earned by completing work through the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy. Degrees in Franklian Psychology may only
be taken from the Foundation if the student has earned the Diplomate Certification from the Viktor Frankl Institute and is in good standing at the time the degree is awarded.
