Abed Ayoub, Ph.D.

Abed Ayoub is Professor of Islamic Studies.  He is the current CEO and President of United Muslim Relief. Dr. Ayoub holds a B.S. in Engineering, an Executive M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix, and a Ph.D. in Islamic Studies with a focus on international relief and development from the Graduate Theological Foundation. Dr. Ayoub is a founding partner of the Center for Interfaith Action on Global Poverty, a coalition of faith-based organizations working collectively to reduce global poverty and disease. Along with other leaders in the international development field, Dr. Ayoub provides advice, analysis, and recommendations to USAID on the most pressing development issues in the world today. He also served two terms with the U.S. State Department’s Religion and Foreign Policy Working Group, where he advised on humanitarian issues.
